Here is the view from the plane about fifteen minutes outside the airport. I think it's Lake Mead. I am in the shuttle on the way to Red Mountain Spa in St George now ... In a traffic jam!
The plane ride was fantastic. I took Virgin America and upgraded to first class -- you can do that for $250 if you call within 24 hours of departure. I know that sounds indulgent, but this is my first vacation in five years and I wanted to make the most of it.
The food and the service were great. The leather seats with the massage feature and the "Red" entertainment system was fun to use, although I wish they had better movies. I enjoyed "Brideshead Revisted," but there wasn't much else to choose from. They have WiFi on the plane, but Red doesn't have connectivity to the Web yet, which would have been fun. I will definitely be taking Virgin again.
