Well, this is my last post of 2005. I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon to visit a friend who lives outside of Washington, DC. I'm really looking forward to hanging out with her and her family and believe it or not getting away from NYC which is currently being overrun by tourists eager to see the ball drop in Times Square -- something I've never done in the nearly three decades I've lived here.
Wow, what a year it's been! I feel grateful for everything I have, particularly in light of what's been going on with the world at large. My most significant, life-changing moments this year was saying goodbye to Sugar Ray, moving here to Q-veens to my first co-op, and my volunteer marathon at the Red Cross helping Katrina victims. That really taught me to keep things in perspective this year.
So for 2006, I've got a lot of plans. I'm going back to school. It might take me awhile, but I'd really like to have a degree and I think it'd be fun to learn some new things. If CUNY gets all my transcripts in time I will be able to start at the end of next month.
I'm not going to give away a lot of details yet, but I will be starting to podcast next month. I really miss being on the air and this will be a way to start broadcasting again. I'll have more details soon for you, but it will be a weekly interview and music show somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes to start. It's going to be a lot of fun to do, I'm really looking forward to it and hope you download and listen.
Well, I hope everybody has a great (and safe) time on New Year's Eve and a happy and healthy 2006!
