Here's a little project I did this afternoon. I used coated nylon wire and an assortment of glass beads and silver spacers that I got at AC Moore called Cousin's Beyond Beautiful mini bead board kit in Sky. Cost is about $5.99. The kit is actually for making bracelets, but I wanted a necklace so that's what I made!
They have lots of great coordinated bead kits at AC Moore and Joann. I think it's a great way for a beginner (like me!) to start. Sometimes walking into the bead stores can be a little intimidating because there's so much too choose from.
It took me, tops, an hour to make this. The nylon coated wire, 2 crimp beads and clasp I bought at Fun2Bead. I used instructions from the Bead Girl book for the Ten Minute Necklace.
If I can make it, you can make it!!!
