I am SO looking forward to some time off this weekend. Of course, as usual I ended up working late and got home at midnight.
I went into the kitchen to fix a snack and was about to pop something into the microwave when my peripheral vision picked up movement on the top of the wall in front of me.
It was the BIGGEST waterbug I have ever seen in my life. Serioiusly. You could put license plates on this thing. It was walking horizontally at the top of the wall where it meets the ceiling. It was basically covering all four of my kitchen walls as it moved along, doing laps like it was on a racetrack.
It was a NASCAR bug. UGH! I swatted at it with a broom a few times, because it seemed dangerous to, like, stand on a chair and chase a waterbug around the room.
So, when he was above the cupboards opposite my stove I gave him a real good swat and then he disappeared. I don't know if I got him or not. He may just be hiding up there!
The good news is the exterminator is doing his monthly visit tomorrow.
Anyway, here are some things to check out on The Showbuzz when you have a chance:
Check out our photo essay about stars with tans and try to guess which ones are real or fake. At left is Lindsay Lohan who I hope is sporting a fake tan. She's fair and freckled and has no business in the sun unless she's rocking a few coats of sunscreen (SPF 45 minimum).
Mo Rocca came in to visit us. I interviewed him, and also got some commentary from him about this week's entertainment news. He was hilarious!
We have a new Friday feature where we'll try to find a common thread that ties all the top stories together. This week the theme seemed to be famous (and often dysfunctional) families.
One of my close friends in high school married a big Elvis fan. Seriously, they honeymooned at Graceland! Elvis' fans are hard core and they trek every year to visit The King's grave on the anniversary of his passing. I did a story today on plans for Elvis Week, which kicks off next week.
This is so cool, our podcast page is finally up! There you can subscribe to my weekly BlogBuzz podcast where I'll interview a new blogger each week and discuss the topics of the day.
Well, that's it for now.
